any idears or thricks on what to put in the wiper bottle (holy water stolen from the church) to make them last longer

it seems every time i need the they are f$%ked
so i give up

Check your windscreen is ok, I had a windscreen that had grinding specks all over it from grinding steel too close to the 4b, used to chew out blades nearly instantly.

rain-x helps, alot - you don't even need to use wipers at night (if there are no external light sources about)

had a bloke build a deck on the flat above a few years ago, mums car was parked underneath, the sparks from the grinder are hot enuf to melt the glass just enuf that they metal gets embeded in it. buy new wiper blades, first use they are farked

clean the window occasionally with a sponge, and clean the wipers while you're at it... i do this about every 3 months. I also use the silicone wipers from supercrap and theyre going WAY better than my rubbers used to.

I've been using the Aunger version on my rangie and the shopping basket for about a year.
Work great and highly recommended.

But.
No matter what wipers I fit to the shopping basket, they start squeaking. Sometimes quietly so you can barely hear it. Sometimes so loud you try to drive with them off.

I'm currently living in a place that gets about 2.5m of rain a year, so it's a regular occurance.
Rain water doesn't stop the sqeaking and it really does sound like it's coming from the blades (i.e. not the pivots).

Im stunned that wipers have their own section on ebay!
Listed in category: Cars, Bikes, Boats > Car Parts, Accessories > Exterior > Windshield Wipers

I'll try a set of these, also need a rear one

ahh

thatll be my issue then.

ive found on other cars that giving the blades a realllyyyy good clean will bring them back good as new, just with a sponge and soapie water, or a rag and some window cleaner.
you would be amazed how much shit will clean off the blades after only a short time on the car.

I saw a show on Discovery channel the other day where they were at the Bosch factory were they make them.
They crank out 300,000 wipers a day
