Is anyone running the 80 watt HID's.
I have heard that there is almost a zero failure rate with the 50 watt kits but there have been a few break in the 80 watt kits.

Can't decide between 80 and 50 watts.
Higher would be better but I want them to last.

We have been selling hid's for just on 5 years now. We have 50 & 80w kits as well as 35's. The 80w are very new on the market and we have fitted a few to some of the comp trucks. The light output is astonomical (putting out 7800 lumens of light compared to a good quality 50w with 5200 lumens. They are the eqivalent of over 400w halogen per globe) We have had a couple fail but they are covered under warranty and simply replaced. (Of about 20 kits sold, 2 were ballast problems and 2 were loose connectors). Also these were all supplied in our very first shipment, but as with any HID product we sell they have a full 2 year warranty. (Warranty void if you smash them into a tree, but we have had a few in rollovers that have survived to tell the tale, abiet fitted to new lights). Everything about them is bigger, the ballasts are bigger, the globes are bigger and they have more gas in the capsules. They will retail for $550- per kit (2 globes, 2 ballasts, wiring loom, fuses, relays) but are available for a limited time for a group buy for outers members of 10 or more, prepaid at $440- (saving 20%) And they can be fitted to all the lightforce range (except 140's). we have adaptor kits available to suit.
Our 50w kits are extremely reliable and I can't remember the last one to fail. They are available for $375-
We now also have slim 35w ballasts which can fit into the back of hella's and ipf's. These are also new on the market but as yet we haven't had any issues with them. They are $220-
For those who are buying cheap kits from china just ask the question. How many lumens does your 55w kit put out? And are they UV cut glass? Just pm me or give me a ring if you want more info. 0427 209 885

I can vouch for On4tou lights... You can see a postage stamp on a gum tree at 50 paces, looking through bamboo grass on the darkest night, with his lights.

I have a set of On4toU's first batch of 50watt HID's in a set of Rally 2000 lights. With these I look over the horizon and can tell you what tomorrow's weather will be like.

I can't fault them. I smashed 1 light in trees at Cliffhanger and the globe is now in the replacement lense and still works. In fact it worked a treat all the way home from the outback with no glass, exposed to bugs and rain.
