Anyone know if any of the drive train diffs etc from 45 can be used on old (1988) 75 series?
Any info would be good.
Thanks

basically no.
diffs different widths.
i believe the wheel base is different.
the diff centres might be usable if the FJ45 is using later fine splines?
thats all my input
sorry.

diffs are the same width. may have different spring perch setups/spacing, but WMS - WMS is the same.
gearbox will work, but why bother. depending on what engine we're talking about, it shouldn't be too hard to fit (legal??? probably not).
CV's should work, but may require using the free wheeling hubs that came off the 45 as well.
diff centres will work no question. the fine spline/course spline is in reference to either the CV stub axle, or the pinion. the splines where the axles go into the diffs are the same back to about 1968...

I've put 75 series diffs in a 45 series with no problems.

Its doable, but the newer the 45 series is the better chance of it fitting with the least amount of work, try getting something from 1980-1984
