Rear arm lengths?

G'day all,
Im wondering about lower arms?
On a GQ Ute, How much longer do the lower arms need to be to keep the standard upper arms at stardard length for correct pinion angle and straight coils?
Has anyone just got adjustable lowers and stock uppers???
16mm longer lowers is still short as.
Searched and no dice.

Ive had to shorten the uppers (from standard length) by around 20mm+ to get the pinion angle back to norm with the coils straight, but the coils have a lean back on them due to the wheel base being shortened with the lift. I have no vibes in the tail shaft but the shock mount bushes in the rear are angled at flat ride height. Lengthening the lower arms to fix the pinion angle, keeping the upper arms a standard length should make the coils sit vertical rather than leaning back.
Also with the extra length in the lowers, more articulation should be able to be achived with less binding of bushes without having to go for xtra long lowers with new chassis mounts.
In doing this, it would make the tail shaft slightly more horizontal, meaning less load on the uni's also.?
Just trying to work it out???
Does this make sense to anyone?

20mm will not make any noticable difference on bushes.
Keeping the flanges close to parraelle is what you should aim for. Having said that I still run standard length arms or 16-20mm longer lowwers with 4-7" lifts depending on which of our vehicles your looking at.
SWB is less tolerant of lifts.

My diff flange is still leaning back out of parrallel slightly but my coils are straight. I still have no vibes
With the standard (rear) shock mounts though, the shock bushes are on a lean, and at full droop there almost maxed out. Wouldn't that mean that there is load on the centre of the shocks, and loads on the seals in the shocks that there not designed to take? Ie why they bend and leak sometimes?
Having the Uppers arms shorter to fix flanges, etc is bringing your wheelbase closer together meaning that the rear panhard is on an angle (ie Chassis mount needs to be brought forward)?
Finally the coils... Having the coils so there vertical and straight at ride height would mean that they would relocate better(for those who dont have flex coils) and more even load on the coil top hats?
Want to set it up properly...

What length would your lowers have to be to get the correct pinion angle back and straight coils keeping the standard uppers factory length on a
GQ COIL CAB CHASSIS NOT WAGON (No guards to worry about) with a 4-5" suspension lift.
I am aware in doing this I will have to space or lengthen my rear tail shaft.

I was more asking got myself (sorry to jack yout post :p) and i dunno of you would have to muck around with the tailshaft with it already having the slipper joint thingy in it?

I might just chop up the stock lowers and tincker with them to see if i can acheive what im after.

i have 5" dobinson coils in my gq ute
to get my diff right i chopped them and added 18mm. then also added a piece of angle top and bottom to strengthen the arm. now done 20,000+ kms and shitloads of extreme stuf and had no dramas with bent arms, or pinions.
