Hey guys
Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers that make weather shields for the Feroza?
My Feroza doesnt have air con so when it rains it always fogs up and as you would know I cant just put my window down without getting wet from the rain.
Any help would be appreciated, or does anyone know how to make one?

Would also be cool to stop the mud comming in as well.... there are a few reasons whey tires inside the guards are a good thing - and thats one of them. :)

have you asked at a super cheap, repco or similar? they don't make them but i'd be suprised if they couldn't get one for you. I wouldn't think the manufacturer would deal directly to the public anyway.

Have you tried opening the sunroof to improve air flow? Unless the rain is really heavy not much should get in thanks to the big rubber lip/ seal.

Hi, I am in New Zealand, and have 3 of these vehicles. There is a company here which makes aftermarket copies of weather shields for all makes of vehicle. They are not cheap, but considerably cheaper than the genuine article.
I had some made for my Fez. Surely there must be a similar company in Australia? My own Daihatsu Dealer provide the details of said company and actually ordered them for me.
Regards,
Tansy

Tansy, do you have details on this place that makes weathershields? shipping shouldnt be too much from nz plus our dollar is higher.

Perhaps a group buy ? I'd be in for a set ( cost ? ) and perhaps a few sets would be of more interest for the NZ suppier.

Well it sounds possible - I hope it can be made to work.

Even if it falls apart I'd still like to get some for me, so would appreciate any info.

Sorry for the delay guys, I don't look in here too often. I'll provide the info
within 24 hours. Hmm...if I was sharp, I should be forwarding the shields
on for a little profit...Oh bugger! LOL

The ditch isn't that wide Tansy..... don't even consider messing with the dark side

The one I had made for my Fez wasn't cheap, about $100. about half the price of the genuine article from memory. I'd like to think 1.6 Rocky ones might be cheaper, because the are rather more simple. Don't know though.

Mini/mighty mouse...it appears sufficiently wide to me. lol. We here in little old NZ make the shields....you lot, seem content to rough it! One day perhaps you will catch up with us. LOLOL

Hmmm, well perhaps the three Feroza's in NZ make up a reasonable slice of your market... but over here the situations somewhat different.

Would there be enough plastic over there to do a couple of sets - or perhaps they need to be ordered one at at time ?

Ok - Ok I don't mean it....... would actually love to get the Mouse over there to do some serious driving, there must be some awesome spots down south. But being realistic with shipping costs - just ain't going to happen.

Still I can always dream.

Well there you go! A kiwi makes an effort for a bunch of tight fisted, bloody Ausies, and she doesn't even get an acknowledgment from the bludgers!
And to think you useless dingoes want to become part of New Zealand...Hello? The only worthwhile Australians are ex pat kiwis LOL
 Tansy

Probably all true.... were Feroza owners after all. Our idea of modification is fuzzy dice on the rear vision mirror.

With the rate the NZ and Aussie dollar are falling there might not be enough dollars in both countries to pay for a set.

Still as per Ex pats - the flow seems to be in one direction only ... no genius required to work out why. :D

Quite true. Our loss is your gain...at least we are raising the collective Australian iq. LOL When we have sufficient genius' in your population, (a year tops) we'll manipulate you to vote unanimous(e)ly to become the 4th and most minor island of New Zealand. Oops...there goes the master plan.
Oh hang on, it's all good...you lot build Holdens...how dumb is that. haha Fords rule!

Who wants to do what?! You've been sniffing with too much sheep poo... :D

I'll say "thankyou" for the link even though I don't own a Feroza any more. You should have realised they'd want them for free. ;)

lol im a kiwi too ... and I aint going there!

besides FYI Australia has waaaayyy more sheepies than NZ now ... You DO know that the RSPCA wont let us keep them anymore dont you :finger:

What...we can't keep pet Australians any more???
This bloody government just has to go!
"But' yes, As the western island of NZ dries up and becomes a dust bowl, they are turning to sheep to temporarily save them. Of course the very few intelligent among them, (Australian humans that is) move over here, following all their lovely rain, which now bathes our western coast and further on, thus enabling us to be come dairy farmers en masse! LOL
No one wants mutton anymore, especially the stringy, dried up stuff that Australia now excels in producing. We who produce such lovely milk, compared to the Chinese, poison crap, are soon to buy back, at garage sale prices, our Banks from our lesser neighbor. LOL
We will if asked nicely, also take your entire fleet of Ferockies, as a trade for some moderately passable drinking water.
Cheers cousins. LOL

Well...not only have we changed government, but I see I have rendered all Australians speechless by revealing our fiendish master plan. Ahem you do know we are running TV ads here stating that Australia is a dying nation?
There is room for you Mightymouse, providing you bring at least 1 maxi size shipping container full of Ferocky parts through customs with you.
That doesn't include any of your refugee, hopeful mates - we are nearing our quota for under skilled labourers...ok? hehe!

One one container of Feroza parts - that will keep me going for about a year or so, but what happens after that ?

And as for mates - I drive a Daihatsu, that scares away any potential mates straight away....... they all spot that there's something deeply wrong immediately. :)

Still perhaps one more misfit over there won't really matter.

I've enjoyed a good laugh here guys, but seeing this thread bumped to the top again made me wonder if anyone ever got their weather shields?

Sorry for getting back on topic.
Please carry on as you were.
