I have got a replacement 4.900 rear locker. Anyone had any experiece with the switch in the diff that the light works off?

My Dash light won't stop flashing even when it is fully locked. I know it is locked as I had it sitting on the floor plugged in to make sure the pump was working properly and it goes in nicely.

I have the old broken diff there I could pull apart but wondering if anyone has already investigated! :D

Since the ARB went in the front they won't stop flashing in 2WD either!!! :bad-words: It works if I give it a helping hand underneath - the sliding shaft needs a bit of persuasion.

NJ,
is the pump cycling on & off, you have to listen closely becuase it is pretty quiet! If it is that will casue the locker to drop in & out, Other than that it could be anything , depends how you wired it up, did you use the factiory ECU & harness?? Could be a problem with that, I didnt use any of that for my setup, since I didnt have the factory ECU.

You should also check the switch wiring ,especially where it goes into the diff, it seems a bit susceptable to damage IMO, you have to stop it from flopping around, also check the connection where the switch wires join the harness.

You could also have a faulty switch, its inside the diff, It pays the make sure its OK before you put everyting back together, I didnt & had to take it out again as the switch was buggered, cost $90 for a new switch BTW.

good luck
