Hey people.

Do any of you guys have one of these laying around in a shed somewhere near newcastle. I'm interested in getting a pattern for both ends of the bell housing.

Or if somebody feels like drawing it on a peice of paper and mailing it too me that would be great. Cheers.

Reason:
I've looking at throwing away the tb42 and droping in a rb25det. I've been talking with triple S engines in sydney and they think that the gear box can be left in, i've jsut got to change the bell housing to a rb30 one. just trying to see if this is true. Any help.

Cheers

Nelly

i've read that articule a few times.
1. that is a GU with a 2.8 not a GQ with a tb42.
2. I'm spending close to 3 grand on this. I wanna make sure the bloody thing all fits together without too many surprises along the way.

I dont wanna pull the engine out and then find that the rb25det dont fit witht he tb42 box.

$3000? Sounds about 1/3 of what I would have expected
Maybe message the dude in that thread, he would have a good idea what would and wouldnt work.

Yeh done that.

He didnt have much info for me really. He didnt know that much about the GQ's he said. but did tell me the same info that i had heard regarding triple s engines. That they are a great place to get engines and offer fantastic service. So far the guys have been great with any infomation that i've needed.

I'm planning on heading down to sydney with the truck to visit them and show them what i wanna do. Should be interesting to see what they have to say.

As i said tho. I jsut wanna make sure that everything fits nice and neat. I'm planning on doing the wiring myself. I'll be starting that pretty soon.

Take the engine out. Hook the new on up. which will have the new clutch and flywheel. Install external full pump. then take it to get the exhaust and intercooler done.
I'm getting the engine for a great price so yeh around the 3g mark is looking good so far.

remember. Proir Preparation prevents piss poor preformance.
