After reading the Forum Post on Nissan Diff specs, I was under the impression that my 96 Dual cab had an "HG43" diff combination, but I have now seen these parts and they look very different to mine.

I have checked the ratio (roughly) and it appears to be 4.8:1.

The Plate (the diff bit I think) nominates that it is CA48.

From my limited understanding, this would appear to tie in with the 4.8:1 ratio and would mean that the front diff would be an R180 front and C200 rear. (I also measured the outside of the rear cover and a 233mm crown wheel would definately not fit, but a 200mm crown wheel looks like it would fit.

Can anyone advise:

1) Are these assumptions correct; and
2) If that is the case could I put a different ratio from another nissan with the CA designation eg. CA41 - Found on 720's

Thanks in advance.

Yep C200 rear diff with 4.8 gears and it would be R180A front diff.

Whats it running a KA24E ?
