ive got a mild 454 chev in a gq on duel fuel,, at the moment ive got a holley 750 double pumper on it, & with the engine i got a brand new quadrajet carby, just wondering would it be worth the effort to swap it over & try the new carby, ''performance wise?'' or would the holley be better?
thanks

Used to have a Quadrajet on my 327. Worked well but was hard to find someone who could tune it properly. I liked the idea of vac secondaries. Gave me better economy than the 650 annular I swapped it for. Holleys are waaaaay easier to jet. Is it annular discharge?

I`d fit the Qjet . It`ll run real nice and it won`t suffer from drying out when used on gas. They have a lot of adjustments and can be well tuned.

It is getting very hard to get tune parts for the Quaddy's these days, Id suggest the off road Holley. I've had good sucess with them off road and parts are readily available.

Cheers

I'd put a holley 770 truck avenger on it if your looking for out right power.
if your looking for 'economy' (buy a 3cyl charade  ) put a 670 truck avenger on it.

front and rear metering blocks and quick change secondary spring makes tuning easy. along with all the other bit holley added or changed to get them to work better off road.

for a price guide, we do the 570 street avenger for $520

Yes thats the off road one I meant.
