i have an 40 litre engel and am curious to hear comments about the 20 litre add on to go ontop of the fridge.
Can the fridge handle the extra capacity esp in hot summer when parked up for the weekend while im out fishing?

The Engel can, but can your battery for a full weekend??
I will run my 80lt as a freezer, freeze everything you want frozen before you put it in and rotate it around (middle to the outside, outside to middle) this way you can run it at a higher temp so the engel is not working so hard. Then the twozone becomes your fridge.

They are really good, but everything does go for a six when you need to get to the bottom bit ie fridge/freezer section

G'day, I read a bit about them and they seem like a great idea but I just couldn't justify paying the $400 for one so I made my own stainless two zone. We recently did an 8 week trip using it and it was bloody awesome! We used it to put our drinks in the top (fit a case of tinnies) and made organising the fridge heaps easier. Power usage was never a concern, Engels use bugger all anyway and using one doesn't affect your warranty. But the best thing about mine is, it was free!
