I am wanting a set of 4.8 diffs for the bundy, so correct me if i'm wrong i need a 4.8 open hilux diff for the front, and a 4.8 LSD for the rear. I know these r rare but i still want one?

is there a 4.8 LSD that will fit my front diff???

If i am going wrecking yard shopping how can i tell its a 4.8 from the outside? Chassis no., engine no. etc.???

You need a 4.8 Bundera front diff. They are expensive. Expect to pay $650 plus for 1. The hilux front centre wont fit.

Toyota's are not that easy to pick an LSD because sometimes they are that worn out you realy cant tell. You need to hold one axle then try to turn the other if it is a good LSD you wont be able to stop the axle you are holding from turning.

The front diff in your Bundera is not a Hilux Diff. It is a Bundera Diff. No hilux diff will fit in there without some major steering modifications.

dude pm dumbdance, he's a wizard with the bundy stuff...
I had a working LSD4.8 but it shat itself. i was able to pic up a non lsd rear from someone on here for 300, which wasnt bad, seeing most wreckers wanted 500 or 700 for LSD, more for reconditioned.
someone on here has gotta have some... hypo?

Get in touch with Lee at Jap 4x4 at Burpengary. He has a disk brake rear diff for Bundy from hub to hub. Sure it is 4.8 centres. He was asking $750 for the whole thing, so you get the diff you want and disk brakes to boot. His number is 3888 0877

i would like to keep an LSD in it coz i really rate them!!!

if anyone knows bundies, u will know they have a tending to get the front wheels upon acceleration and loss of traction, its nice to have that extra assurance in the rear. It has proveditslf a couple of times in the last few months.

Anyone know whether bunderas came out with disc brakes in the rear in the later models?

You cant use a hilux centre in the front cause it is low pinion, a bundy has a high pinion in the front which means the gears are cut in a reverse direction.

Japanese bundys had disc brake rear after about 1990 i think.

Im opposite i want to get rid of my 4.8's for 4.3's but i cant get my hands on a set of 4.3's, must be more rare than 4.8's now :(
