Hi, I have a '95 cruiser, 4.5 petrol / LPG. 320,000k's total, traveled last 150,000 on LPG.

The car is hard to start on Gas in mornings after running on Petrol. The car will start on Gas, give an initial rev and then cut out. It keeps starting and cutting out on gas. The only way to get it going is to start and drive the car on petrol for a while until it warms up, then you can switch to gas. If you drive the car on gas for a while then it will start the next morning okay on gas.

I hope someone can solve the problem while it's at the mechanic to try and save some $$$$.

Car drives great on gas but poor on petrol due to blocked injectors. The injestors are getting cleaned this week and the car is booked in to get the valves adjusted in about 2 weeks.

I had exactly the same problem with my 80, it was caused by the fuel lock control, this takes a pulse from the ignition coil to sense that the engine is running and opens the gas solenoids when it receives this signal, this is why your engine starts for a second when cranking and then stops when the solenoids are not opened by the fuel lock control, costs about $60 and 4 wires to change over so simple DIY job, let me know how you go
