Can anyone identify this canopy?

Hey,

Saw this canopy on ebay and the seller has no idea as to the brand. Anyone out there have any ideas? The moulding at the top looks like a roof rack mount though seller has no recollection of racks. He thinks it is fibreglass

It looks like a Alpha canopy and would have had roof rails

Naw... dont think so. Most of the Flexiglass tops for Rodeos I have seen are a textured finish. This one seems very smooth. Also, looking at it the base is not continuous so it looks that the windoes on the side also seal up agains the tub. This also means that the model never had sliding windows.

I am guessing it is an older design. My initial thought was one of the Ironman or Thermoplas canopies but the base of it confuses me and, being it is on a TF Rodeo, it would have to be at least 6 years old, which probably rules out Ironman.

If its one of those ABS canopies they had exploding glass. Fitted a few of them in "05, on a nice warm/hot day, BOOM no more window glass.

I dont remember the brand name, or the importer. They looked nice but were always exploding.

Certainly looks like the Alpha, but doing a search on the Alpha, they come up as a TJM and they do not have a canopy that fits a TF Rodeo.

Thanks anyway.

Yep, definitely looks carryboish but.... all of the Carryboy canopies I can find for the Rodeo appear to be the same height as the cab. This one is taller than the cab.

Definitely not Flexiglass.
Hard to tell without the windows doors on it. A few of the brands use the same shell with there own bolt on bits so could be any one of a them.
Are you looking at buying it?
The reason i ask is that i have replace windows and doors on several brands and framless tailgates generally cost around $800 to $1000. So don't buy it unless youi can get definite prices on parts.

I am in the market for a canopy, I prefere a high top and would prefer opening windows not sliding. Saw this and it spured my interest. My concern is that if no one can identify it no parts will be available .. yadda yadda yadda.

The general gist I get is that is must be a very unique canopy being that most that work with them still cannot identify it. I take your point big time.

Thanks for the response.

Not Alpha or Razor Back 100%

It looks like a early version of the Caddy Canopy but its not one of there current ones.

The other option is maybe a Early Sammit.

Sammit are now mostly steel.

A Class canopy is another option.

The seller supposedly had just got it painted and had it sitting on the back resting on the tub to see the paint match. I think if the window protection was removed it would fit fine.

It'll be hard to find a high roof in a smooth finish.

Try these,
http://www.avenger4x4accessories.com/visuzudmaxrmk3.htm
or
http://www.flexiglass.com.au/canopies-t ... l-107.html
I fit both of these and have found them both to be a good product.
