Looking at getting a spacecase for the back of the ute, just wondering what brands people have, are they any good (seals, strength, wall thickness, latches, etc...) and which is the best? Where from too!
Cheers
Steve

I thought "spacecase" WAS the brand?
EDIT: and the best/cheapest way to get them was to find a mate who's in the army

Contact you local poly tank maker or seller, they all make cases and everything else out of poly.
Ask about seconds, they usually have discolouration somewhere, thats all.

Trimcast make the original Space Case, i believe. As good as they are i don't believe the originals are of super-duper quality - possibly better materials than others?
Anaconda is/is soon stocking a cheaper brand, supposedly of equal quality.

ive got a steel xl bigbox on the back of the lux and love it, 2 sliding shelves and gas struts on the doors. i put some carpet in mine so that nothing slides round. cost about $740 if i remember right but worth every cent, 3 years on and it still looks the same
but gough plastics in townsville make them the same as spacecase but not sure about pricing

They can be acquired through people in the army, like my father in law did, but he had to know people who knew the right things to get it for me.

Cant be had anymore. As last I asked at the local clothing store that had been taken of the buy list. And can only be issued.

I am in the same boat. Wish I brought them when they where available. As they where dirt cheap.
So if anyone can find where they can be brought as 2nds for a better price. Or even just a deal, I am interested. Something around the size of the Army Trunks would be nice. Does anyone know what they are.

We've had two Spacecases on the back of a GU ute for seven years now.
They haven't discoloured at all, and are still 100% water and dustproof.
