Can someone tell me the benefit's of a front shackle reversal on a 45 serie's with a spring over. Thank's.

It makes sense to me to do it and I did my 40 series sprung over cruiser last weekend...but wont know how it goes untill I get the 60 series diffs back under it,a job I am doing right now....cant wait to get it back on the road as its been 6 weeks since my last drive....
Shorty 40 will tell you how good it is as he swears by it as well as most of the mods that he has done to his rig.....

done right it is worth it . I did my shorty years ago not that hard just keep in mind .
the diff will move in the opp direction than it dose now in drop and compression ( this is what makes the ride better )

you need to keep in mind caster angles

your pinion will move more esspecialy if you run longer shackels so you need to be careful not to bind your unis and as your suspention drops the diff moves away from the transfer case so you will need a longer splined tailsharf .

if your doing the spring over your self go for it you'll be able to reverse shackel it your self the ride difference is worth it , all you need is a little steel and reuse all the mounts that are there now .

Thank's guy's. It already has a spring over so doe's the angle of the diff have to be changed again or if i do the reversal will the diff bolt back into place? I am doing a chassis chop as we speak and putting in a disc brake rear diff then will be doing the shackle reversal.

get a wheel alignment done and see what your caster is if it drives good and you are happy with it all as it is now just make sure all the angles are the same when you finish the reverse shackel . Some people change everything as they go like spring lengths etc .
