To4b on a TD42? Advice please? Is this tooo big?

Guys, father in law just brought home a TO4B that came of (a merc benz 4 cyl bus motor) the scrap heap???? It has done 4500km's since rebuild and is in perfect condition!! It has cost nothing! Maybe I'll give him a beer??
Is this going to be too big? I have the serial numbers, so will try too find out the A/R on the hotside, as I think this is the only issue?? He not too long ago brought home a KKK K28 that is too big?? I believe it has a hotside a/r of 1.18?? So won't spool up until 3200 - 3500 rpm?? Way too late for me!
Any advice guys????? Oh, and if you offer me over 200 for the KKK turbo, I will take it! there is only normal play and it is externally gated!
