yeh mate should be pretty straight forward.
mines an 83 and i just had to cut some of the tub around the gear stick and then loosen off the steering attachment and let it slide on the spline.
if u have bar work u will have to move it to suit so it doesnt look crap
oh and the radiator shroud/whole radiator may need moving
hope this helps mines been done for ages now no troubles and only takes a few hours to do it along with the fiddling with bar work.

all as benolux said mate,my old 84 single cab had the normal problems of the gearstick in the floor, cut it out a bit more.the shroud for fan and radiator hits, move it,i think the bottom half seperates even? and i undid the steering shaft and let it slide along more or you could buy a steering shaft extension off snake racing etc....also i snapped my handbrake cable soon after.there was some tabs under the floor holding the cable and pulling it tight.all up was a good simple job better than my zuk was to do

clutch lines should be fine they are steel and spiral just gently get a mate to stretch them as your slowly jacking it up should be fine i maybe wrong with the 84 tho pays to check it out. mine was sweet and havent had issues YET lol. and yeh definately make sure you cut enough of the tub around the stick. mine didnt like 2nd, 4th and reverse. u might have to cut the steel sleeve that holds the boot to. im not sure if the 84 have them.
i moved my whole radiator down as i didnt want to have cooling probs moving the shroud should be cool but yeh.

another cheaper option instead of a steering shaft extension is a few washers on the uni/coupling. i added 3 washers to each bolt which gave me 4 -5mm more spline to play with. makes it abit safer.
also if it is a style side u might want to think about the fuel filler as it is attached to the body. i have ally tray and didnt lift it wanted to keep COG low. but yeh keep this in mind if you are lifting tray and it is attached to the tray and it isnt a flexy hose.

i think thats it mate hope this helps.

hey cheers fellas for the info really appreciate it.

i got a tube tray welded to the chassis :? and the roll bar and rock sliders are incorporated with it, so i might have to play around with it.

its gettin deregistered in the next 3 weeks so now i can do the lift without
worryin about the dot.
its goin to be my comp truck so thanks for the heads up fellas.

cheers Dylan :) :)
