Won't clog up the forum so if anyone has done it would they consider me a PM as to what hassles you had, costs, overview.
Not really chasing ext HP but it is something that I would like to do as a project down the track.
cheers

I converted the P40 engine of my MQ to efi using a megasquirt ecu and a Falcon EA throttle body. There is a lot of general information on the Megasquirt site and the Megasquirt forum applicable to all conversions. I did a bit of a write-up of mine plus pictures on

It has certainly transformed my old truck. It is not a difficult conversion but you have to be quite methodical especially with the wiring or you will soon lose track of where you are.

i did the gq efi conversion and its simply the best thing i done. no stuffing round with dizzy's. straight swap. only hard thing is putting the efi wiring harness in. more fuel economical, lots more torqu, more power. cant complain.

Pictures.
The Wiring harness. Can the EFI harness just be plugged into the main dash at a junction place where the original harness was. ie old harness out, in with the EFI.

Just done it.
Bought an EFI GQ, swapped all the good bits off the old carby car and wrecked out all the other bits. Over 2K in front

So how hard is the wiring harness swap?
How deep do you have to dig?
Is it all plug in or is there cutting and soldering to do?
Chris.
