Does a 1.3 and 5spd bolt in or is it Major stuffing around?

Are the seat bolt positions/patterns the same from 83 NT to 88WT,etc

Does a 1.3 Brake Booster bolt straight in?

Are 1L and 1.3L wiring a major difference?

I already know that the WT diffs will go in but some much around, also use the 1L Diff centers, are they both striaght in or use the WT carrier?
Does the Axels mate up?

Thanks!

No, the standard 1.3 5speed does not just bolt on to a 1.0 but there were some 1.0 5 speeds made. If you have both a later 1.0 4 speed and a 1.3 5 speed it can also be done with a little machining but there isn't much power in a stock 1.0 to cope.

I have fitted drivers side sliding seat rails from a 1.3 into a 1.0 trayback using the same bolt holes.

1.0 diff centres do not swap into 1.3 diffs.

The booster does not bolt straight on due to firewall differences.

no idea what 1.3 wiring is like.

A) No. There's significant stuffing around. both engine mounts and the gearbox mount are in different places. On top of wiring differences etc, its a fairly involved swap and only really justifiable on a LWB IMHO.

B) Basically yes. (passenger side is a bit different but both sets of holes are in the floor from memory.)

C) No. Steering column to brake pedal relationship is different, as is the firewall and the pedal box. a booster is not an easy fit into a 1.0.

D)The looms are quite different. 1.0's run an external regulator and glass fuses, 1.3's have a much more modern loom - blade fuses, internal reg on the alternator etc. also, WT 1.3's have EGR control, idle ups etc in the loom, 1.0's don't.

E) No, 1.0 centres do not fit 1.3 housings. the axle splines are the same so you can put NT 1.3 axles in a 1.0 housing, but you cant put any 1.0 stuff in a WT axle.

1.3 axle housings are larger diameter and require a full set of 1.3 U bolts and spring plates, along with 1.3 driveshafts or flange adapters, along with the spring perches being re welded into the narrow track location rather than outboard like a WT.

1.0 centres are interchagable with LJ 50/80.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

Thanks CJ

I Didnt explain properly!

I was going to get a 1.3 and the 5spd out of a donur car and I was hoping it would all bolt up with no dramas with Engine and gearbox mounts.

I couldnt be that lucky could I??? Im pretty sure the Eng Mounts are slightly different.

Thanks Boys

That makes many things far clearer!
