Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I need to know how high do i have to lift to fit 32" BFG's on a 2001 Suzuki Jimny i want to do a 2" body lift with no cutting
I know 2" body 2" suspension fit 31"s just right but will it fit 32 or do i have to go higher or cut something

i think sqiuk ran 3 bl and 3 spring for 32's

four inch springs. Going by the modified suzuki 4wdm mag.

Or you could do some cutting and run no lift at all.

The Jimny's in the club here in Melbourne all started out with 5" of lift or more and have been getting lower and lower ever since. Tall jimny's are spooky.

Cutting your guards out to fit the tyres without much/any lift.

No, suspension lift does not allow you to fit a bigger tyre unless you lower the bumpstops too. (which most don't so when you get really flexed up the tyres still rub just as badly as with no lift, they just do it less often.

to run big tyres with no lift you will need to add as much bumpstop spacer as you are willing to run.

Then pull all the plastics off the car, and start flexing it up and working through what has to come out of the way.

Then refit the plastics and trim them as required. pretty much any metalwork you have to do will be hidden under the plastics which are easy to trim and deal with compared to finishing steel off nicely.

You can make things a little easier by pulling the front diff forward a little and also by running 235 85 16 tyres on stock Grand vitara or XL7 rims - these are still 32" tall but narrower than the 32 11.5's I guess you had in mind so the tyres fit into the guards better.

(the car will drive much better on the narrower tyre anyway)

I can't give you a hard and fast rule about what has to some out as a)I don't won a jimny and B) it will depend on tyre, bumpstop spacer, shock length, rim spec and lots of other factors.

It is possible though, we had a jimny in the club here in vic running 235 85 16 Goodyear MTR's with no body lift and less than 2" of spring lift. with weight in it (also had a steel bar and winch) it was basically at stock height suspension wise.

Bear in mind though, jimny gearing and driveline wasn't designed for that much tyre so you will have to deal with breakage if you use all the traction the 32's allow.

So basically if i chop the fenders back and with the 2"body already being done i should be able to fit 30" or 235x85x15 fairly easily

very easily I would imagine, you may need very little if any chopping at all with a 2 inch body. My ex runs my old 235/75's (28") without any body lift at all and slight bumper trimming.
