Even if it bolted to the inside, there still might be enough clearance to bolt it to the out side and for the saft to run okay, it may just involve filling a few holes, and redrilling, and puttin in crush tubes

They both bolt to the outside. And almost in exaclty the same place but not quite i dont think. Not sure if they bolt up, i think the holes on a GQ a straight rather than slightly diagonal on an MQ box, but not sure about angles etc.
Anyone tried it?

You may as well be the first to try it, go out, plate the chassis rail and drill it out, insert crush tubes and fit the GQ box, it will work with effort

yeah might just give that one some serious thought. Hey Ryan, when u get a new p/s box can i grab ur old one to try and fit it?

yea i reckon it will fit with a bit of screwin around, just looks like the GQ one is a little bit further forwards, but like ozy1 said just plate your chassis n drill it out, theres always a way

if they are both in nearly the same spot your next concern is to make sure the pitman arm will line up with all that bellcrank intermediate stuff in the centre. is the taper on the MQ pitman arm the same way as the GQ??

i think the standard taper is the same and the caslte nut side of the balljoint is the same size, though its irrelivent as im running a 75 series ball joint in there with my high steer setup so the new arm would have to be reverse tapered anyway
