The Carby is sh$#g me.
I posted this in the suzi section as well, but need answers.
I can get hold of a 87' JE Holden Camira cheap ($50) and thinking . I have been told the camira computers can be reprogrammed easily and would I be able to make fit the whole inlet manifold onto my G13BA. I don't mind using a grinder or die cutter to make it fit, just wondering if anyone rekons this might work.
Any ideas??
cheers
Nic

You are both wrong. The 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 liter engines used in the Camiras are Australian made (known as "Family Four" or something like that), exported to the US, UK, and Europe as a part of GM global ops.
Some of them (1.8 MPI) did find their way into some of the early Pulsars, but all Pulsars now use Nissan engines.

pretty sure its called family 2, though could be wrong. Have seen the delco computers reprogramed to suit a few different cars, but whether its possible is up to how much money and expreience you got available. you would need to add sensors to engine (o2 sensor etc) and aslo got the computer to "talk" to other sensors like coolant temp. Best too look into it and see whether its a cost effective option, may end up more than just fixing\moddifying carby or even fitting vitara engine.
just my .02c anyway
layto....
p.s. nissan used family 2 in badge swap style pulsar. Part of the agreement with holden so holden could use nissan body for astra and nissan could get better deal on importing pulsar by using local engine and beat import car tax's etc
Just between me and you, I actually really dig the Megatwon, but if anyone asks, I'm going to shitcan it as much as possible! :D
The inlet manifold is completely different, you would have to modify you original to suit or make a new one. Why not try & find a G13be front cut from japan with injection?
Everything will be there from all sensors to computer & will probably be cheaper and more reliable than making your own up.
Just another option & might save some head stress.
