80 series brake booster conversion in hilux

Any one heard of this done or done it themselves?

I have an 86 hilux running a 304 injected v8 with a T700 auto behind it, 4.7 reduced transfer case and 4.11 in the diffs, the standard hilux booster and master cylinder set up is ok for road but with the increased torque in low range i cant stop the truck from moving in low range 1st gear, it just wants to keep crawling even when standing on the anchors.

Being an auto its pretty critical to be able to stop the car whilst its still in gear because you cant just kick the clutch in obviously. My thinking was if i could use a larger booster and master cylinder that it would create more pressure in the system, am i on the right track here? Is there any other way to improve the braking pressure?

Keep in mind the rear drums, rear cylinders, rear shoes, front callipers, front pads and front rotors have all been replaced with new gear as of last week, and the system has been bled properly with a solid pedal. Still inability to stop completely in low range.

Any advice or experience on this would be appreciated

cheers

I just put an 80 series master and rear disc brakes on my 94 hilux, stops on a dime now ;) The master cyl is just a straight swap.

The 80 booster will reduce pedal effort...v6 4runner or surf front callipers bolt on too and are 80 series piston size (45mm)
