first would like to thank everyone for there comments,and also thanks to juzzydykes for dropping round and having a look for me,shes definatly all locked up,so decision time with what to do now,cant afford a full rebuild,so will keep my eyes out for a replacement donk,if only 12hts were as cheap as dunnydore v6,s,otherwise im still tempted to drop a 350 chev in it,take my time to think it over anyways.

anyone want to swap a good 2h for a good 3b

yeah i know,i only drove it about 300 kms,i guess im lucky i got it home,lesson learnt though,when buying new cars check oil,lol,it seemed to run excellently though,whats a rough estimate for a decent 2nd hand 2 h diesel,theres one on ebay for 1200 odd,supposedly great runner,also had a chap drive up to me and juzzydykes when he was sussing the motor ,and the chap offered to sell me the 1 in his car,sounded like it ran ok,the guy reckons it doesnt use oil,and has had this and that done to it,hes got a newer one hes putting into his though,so you have to wonder if his is so good,why swap them over,but could be worth a look,depending on what he wants for it of course,ill suss him out

whats your injector pump like? im pulling one out this week has a slight miss in number 3 that we think is the pump if your pump is any good we can try it before we pull the motor and then if its all good we can talk about sale ofthe 2h or swaps etc.

So I'm guessing no warranty?

I see you feel you should have checked the oil level but I was under the belief that 2H Motors, like many others, had a low oil cut out? I recall my old 12HT did so you're 2H should also have. Was the siezure due to low oil for sure?

It does have the oil cut off, but the PO disable the cut out linkages.

yeah what chucky said,previous owner took the rod off the edic motor,so no rod no low oil pressure cut off,i assumed that cause it seemed to run good,all would be good,i was actually going to look into that issue,being new to diesels i didnt realise it also shut motor off when oil pressure dropped,but you live and learn i guess,lol,no warranty on an ebay car either,i didnt pay that much for it,so i guess im lucky there.

hi hiluxmad,yes the injector pump on mine works fine,truck was running smoothly,i shall pm u
