dana 44 front diff in shorty nh paj

i was talking to a bloke at work and it turns out he has a spare dana 44 dront diff assembly sitting about, he also said it has a vacume operated diff lock aswell. sooo i was wondering if it would be a good setup to use in my shorty for the sas??? please help

check the model year of the dana 44, you might need to reverse the pumpkin, also make sure that you have the same gear ratio front and rear. In general Dana 44's is a good upgrade for SAS. There are also alot of aftermarket components in the US. Good luck. :)

yeah hopefully the diff center is on the passengers side and if all looks good then ill buy it. but im unsure of width and other things like that

turns out the diff is no good, how about a set of gq patrol diffs would they go any good underneath????

you can pick up a hpd30 out of an xj dirt cheap or even a lpd30 out of a tj but the lp isnt as strong
