Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ok, i have officially looked everywhere, and i have typed in every possible search phrase in google, and still haven't for a good place that sells Vitara 98 JLX body lifts.
Does anyone know where i can pick up either a 2 inch or even a 3 inch lift kit.

Whats wrong with a 3 inch lift? Too much effort to modify everything?

Can you get coil spacers for a vitara? I was told there only made for larger vehicles.

i got my b/l blocks from greg as well. very happy with em. black too, so they dont stick out like dog balls.

ded set, I got a 3" on my rat, didn't know they were illegal doh. It is a sierra, duz that make any diff.

I did get conned by ARB as to lift needed, 2" for 31s, then when they scrubbed badly they sed and i rang them back, they sed, oh yea, naaa, you need a 3" body lift as well.

Then, damit, I found this site.

So 3" is illegal ay, hmmmm, oh well, the amount of rust she has would prob make her a bit norty as well.

not a problem in NSW. Engineers certificate required just like any bodylift. Most engineers here are happy with a three inch if lt's done safely

Increased leverage etc isn't a problem if you do it right.

Had a 3 inch kit on a grand for 5 years, thrashed the crap out of it and never had a problem. Never busted a mount, never cracked anything, never fell over, never started grass fires or got your sister pregnant.

Steve, you really need to stop judging everything by your own victorian biased standards. The higher power, lower stance, less flex of victorian trucks doesn't do so great on Sydney sandstone.

Im in the process of getting the lift off him atm, i should pick up the spacers aswell.

I'm more than aware that what works in Vic doesn't work elsewhere and said exactly that on a thread only last night.

However, try and get a 3" BL though the NCOP. You'll struggle. Victorian engineers are working with the NCOP right now on the basis they're going to have to deal with it eventually anyway. I'll guess your state will too, sooner or later.

In any case, I'll stand by my position that 3" body lifts are less desirable than 2", even if, at the moment, they are legal in NSW.

It's hasn't actually got anything to do with whether you've "had a problem" or not - many of us have driven cars that weren't engineered and therefore weren't legal for years and "never had a problem"

It comes down to what might happens if you have an accident injuring a third party, for instance, or if you are asked to provide a RWC for your vehicle to rectify a defect notice.

Ignorance, or "getting away with it" doesn't make it OK - the process you need to go through to drive a legal car is there whether you choose to use it or not.
