3" straight through, mandrel bent.
If you're worries about noise, get a resonator put in the rear section.

3" Mandrel bend and a stainless turbo muffler,on me GU ute, gunna get a 3" dump pipe fitted to the turbo next by andrew @ dieseltech lilydale.
Had a 3" fitted to my GU wagon 2.8ltr(sold it couple years ago) and then had a motson's enhancer fitted, the guy who fitted the motson (dynomotive) @ bayswater said the 2.8 was up by about 11% from factory KW"s before he fitted the motson enhancer,so according to him the 3" made a difference to the power of the vehicle...

Or $700 to $900 for most other "brand names".
You could DIY for about $300 if you're handy with a welder.

My Beaudesert catalogue doesn't list anything for swb Patrols but try giving them a ring 07 5541 2767. A GU Patrol 3" mandrel bent, turbo back, Beaudesert system retails for around $935 + freight & packaging.

wow!
3"
Thats huge.
I've just had a few mates of mine that are pros at fitting and making custom exhuasts fit a 2.5" one on my 4.2 mav.
A 3" mandrel bend exhuast with a straight thru muffler, surely wont give enough back pressure in the car.
I read up on the 96 patrol in a nissan book. They put a 2.5" on and gained 25% more power, put a 3" on and lost 15% of what they had gained.
Mine cost me $400, but that was with mate rates, they both said, that it would have cost around the $600-700 hundred mark.

The turbo provides enough back pressure, I wouldn't go smaller than 3" on a TD42T.

As the learn'ed will know, cars with turbos fitted require no "back pressure" in the exhaust to function optimally. The way turbo's work, the least amount of back pressure the better (eg. straight out).
Having back pressure on a turbocharged engine is only creating extra work for the turbo due to the fact that the exhaust gasses are trying to push through the exhaust housing (around the turbine) and out, and then having to force the exhaust gasses through the exhaust system, rather than the exhaust gasses happily moving along.
Peace out.
