Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi guys,

looking for some help with my 1994 2 door discovery, when i change from first to second gear it crunches it only does it at high revs sort of anything above 1500rpm and only 1st to 2nd not back it isnt a huge deal as i just take of in second but would like to get it fixed before it causes more problems

2nd gear synchro by the sounds of it..

Not much you can do except check the oil for gold bits and or take it to a transmission place for their opinion.

If it is the synchro its a box out and apart job to repair.

Id look at the oil firstly what sort is in there is the box a R380 or LT77 ???

Both are fairly oil sensitive and should only run a light grade gear oil like 70 grade give it an oil change with good quality oil of the right grade and it may help
