Alternater Amps for 3.0 V6

Anybody tell me what the amperage is for a 3.0 V6 4Runner alternater.

try and read the nippon denso part number and/or the toyota part number off the decal on the alternator and plug it in to google search - if that doesn't turn up the info you need, take the numbers to any auto electrician and he will be able to cross check it in a catalogue for you.

at a guess it would be in the 90 - 140 amp range - but the rated amps are usually at close to 100% duty cycle on the rotor winding, and the duty cycle of the alternator whole at rated current is only about 5 - 10% (1 minute on, 9 - 19 minutes off) (or the alternator gets very very hot) so if you need high amps for a particular purpose (stereo, winching, charging 6 batteries, inverter, whatever) then you need an alternator with 120 - 150% rating of the current you want to reliably draw.
