Transfer problem ?

Post by oddurb »

Hi all !

Im very new here....

I have a Feroza F-300 carby....

I don´t know what might be the problem, but every time I put the transfer stick to 4x4 hi (one click down) the car goes into 4x4 and then it suddenly pops back to 2wd when i drive a few meters ???

Is the Transfer case broken, or low on transfer oil ?

Does it have something to do with the diff lock ?

All suggestions will be at help !

 , You REALLY wish.

Something in the transfer is not doing what it's supposed to do (can't remember what tho, sycro gears??)

I had a similar problem in my old gearbox/trans. Would pop out of 4Low when engine braking hard, not fun. And a few years before that it would just pop out randomly when under load. Solution was passenger holding the 4x4 stick in by force

A friend of mine used to use an ocky strap around the knob, and back around the rear seat support. Worked a treat.
