Have one in my rig..
No power house but ok..
good on fuel and very relible..
as a side note my understanding it that most toyota forklifts use the 4Y (same motor, longer stroke, bigger bore) so they must be ok..
also means parts will be around for a while & cheap...

It's a toyota, so it's generally going to be reliable, but you'd never choose to run a 3Y.
the 22R on the other hand is a ripper!

I would like to have more tihngs to know about it i want to fit it on a Samurai . . . what is better 3Y or 4Y
i would like to have possitives and nagetive suggestions about this engines pls

The 22R i know its better but difficult to find over here . . .
