hey all.i read a while ago one bloke off this forum was starting a 3rz conversion into a 3L lux.I have a 2.8d 3L but am after a little more go for onroad.

Just wondering how much work actually does go into such a conversion and what parts are needed???mounts, does the box match up?clutch etc.And i guess some good places to grab this motor if people think it is a good choice.Or v6 commy?? thanks in advance anyone

its a very very easy swap....u use a 3rz clutch and 2wd bellhousing, bolt that bellhousing to ur exsisting g52 box.
With mounts, it uses the stock mounts, u can cut them off the frame and re attatch them, or make a adapter sorta plate. I like the cut and remount option, looks factory just with better welds...
do a search there is plenty of info, sus Lux_89s build up to, i think he has pics when we did his

yo man, im the one your talkin bout, read my build up thread... all that rory has said is what we did, didnt touch breaks, but the vaccume comes offf the intake plannum where as the vaccume on 3l comes off the back of the altinator. ;)
