Is Aussie 3L injector pump heated?

I have an import Hiace with a 3L diesel.
It has a leak in one of the hoses from the thermostat housing to the injector pump.
Does the aussie Hilux have these hoses? Can't remember seeing them.
If it does I can buy them from Toyota, if not I'll have to look harder.

most likly it has a warm up device. it changes timing to help with warm up when cold. common with surfs so you should be able to find a hose off a surf or just any decent auto shop will have hose of that size.

No its not..
The hose there now is the original and has three formed 90* bends in it.
A normal 10mm hose will kink if I try to route it the same.

So australian issue 3L's don't have a heated injector pump huh??

you can get molded bends, you may have to join a few together.

no aussie 3L doesn't come with warm up device (its not a heater). however surfs do. surf one may fit.

if you can't get parts over there try NZ. imports are dime a dozen and parts a lot easier to get.

out of interest, is there a fairly thick wire going to top of fuel filter? i'm wondering if its got the fuel heater in it. i'm wondering if you have a "winter pack" model.

No fat wire to fuel filter.
These things come with optional "Radiator Curtain" too although my Super Custom doesn't have it. It is a curtain that can be moved to block the radiator. Part of the "winter pack" too I guess.

well route it differently. chuck some extra length hose in as long as it doesnt touch anything hot or that moves who cares if it a little less neat. theres no way i would ever use a 2nd hand hose. i would avoid useing different hoses with joints clamped in there (i have done a few times by-passing heater cores and almost had a very hot green shower a few times) unless its a show car under the bonnet!
