GQ Not Enough Spark

If i was to say that i felt that the spark plugs werent getting enough spark, where would i go looking for the issue.
Mine does wanna start right.
the plug are good. right gap and claen.
the leads have 2.89Ohms of resistence. But every one of them has that.
when i take out the no 6 lead from the dizzy, the spark doesnt jump the small gap. however it does on the other cylinders.

I've looked at the rotor. seems ok, the rotor cap, where the leads come thru, those little metal fingers. not all of them had a good clean sratch along them. 6,2,4 didnt. so i moved those fingers forward just a little. now numbers 2,4 are firing not six tho.

it doesnt fire correctly until you rev the engine up around the 2500rpm.
I also retarded the timing a little and this also made the car run better and start easier.

Timing is tonight. and then valve clearences on the weekend.
What else should i be looking at the get it all firing right.

Replace condensor?
How can i check the coil?
What else could it be?

Any suggestions would be great.

cheers.

it might be simple

Hey . i had this trouble once. The resistance on each lead should be different . The longer the lead the more resistance. The shorter the less. check your number 6 lead and swap it with number 5 lead to see if its just the lead, Some times at night you can see the spark jumping from the lead , not making it to the sparkplug. Also i would try another dizzy cap ,but do the lead swap first.. hope this helps ya out , let us know how you went,,, :)
