Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi Guys and Gals...
My first post is a question (Sorry)
I have owned a RHD 1990 Toyota Hilux crewcab for the last three years now and have done lots of mods including a Hi-Steer set-up from sky off-road in the USA.
My question relates to the oil pan which has been rubbing on the steering arm since I installed the steering.
I head that an oilpan from certain 2WD engines can fix this problem but I do not know which one fits.
The engines that are common here in Canada are the petrol 22re and the good old 3 litre v6 petrol.
I intend to put the truck off the road for a few weeks to do some repairs/ mods so any info regarding the alternative oil-pan would be great.

How much is it rubbing by? If only slightly why not take it off, chop it up and put it back on.

With my 2.8D i just let it self clearance could go a drop pitman arm if you don't already have one or use a section cut out of pipe and cut the sump to fit and weld it in.

Thats the plan right now, It is currently bent up by about an inch or so (25.4 mil ) and it is now weeping oil.
What gauge is the oil-pan, easy to weld?

I put the surf pan (2-LT motor) on mine gave me about another inch of clearance cause it is flat at the front; you have to get the oil pickup lines too otherwise it won't fit on.

Mate just got his standard one modified.
