i've wiped the oil off, but it seems to build up around that bolt in the middle of the pic.

Looks like a rear main/sump leak. Possibly gearbox input seal, is it engine oil or gear oil?
Layto....

Not really.
Just need to pull the gearbox out, or the engine.

Probably and most of the times its a the engine oil shield of the crankshaft. Mine has the same leaking but its stops after few rides and never leaks again for some time. The best time to fix that its when you have to change your clutch until then just check engine oil and gear oil. Also check out if the gearing its getting harder because your clutch will die with that kind of leaking oil on it.

well, took it to carline today, turns out that it's the rear main seal, but it's not leaking much....yet.
but also got them to look at my front hubs as it wasn't engaging, and they are clogged and rusty and generally shitted....along with my bearings.... so they are pulling all that stuff apart and cleaning it all up and re-greasing etc, hopefully the bearings just need cleaning and re-packing.
sov this week i'm either spending 300 or 600 on hubs and bearings yay right near xmas.
my main seal has only just started to leak, how long generally do i have b4 it starts to root my clutch, and is there a way to not change the seal yet but give me a bit more time?
i hate when shit starts breaking down :(

I just did my rear main seal, I put it off fixing it for about 3000kms, and towards the end I was losing a litre of oil for 300kms i drove.

I would try to fix it asap because the engine oil on your clutch will wear out your clutch. It means pulling your engine out.

Can't you do the clutch with the engine in but the box out?
If its already started to leak, I'd just drive it till it dies and then replace it, and the whole clutch. Saves doing it again in a few months when the clutch wears out
And jimmie, you've got the wrong badge on your 4b if you don't like stuff breaking

You can change the clutch with the motor in. You might be lucky and change the rear seal when you change the clutch

yeah motor stays in shen doing rms, just take the gearbox out....could do clutch at same time.
getting it done after xmas by a mate with a hoist, screw paying $88 an hour instead of a carton or two
