Its basically taking the upper ball joint from its mounting position on the top of the wishbone and moving it to the underside of the arm. This effectively "raises" the upper arm which also houses the bump stops and will give you more down travel and will allow the torsion bars to be raised even more. I recommend you cut the bump stops (if you haven't already) as it kind of defeats the purpose.
It's recommended that you replace the bolts with M10 high tensile bolts, washers and nylocs as it aids in the support of the balljoint. You will also need to have a wheel alignment done to re shim the arm in to bring the camber back into specs.
Keep in mind that this mod doesn't actually raise the car it just allows you to raise it more than the standard amount. I actually left mine the same height after i did it as it was pretty cranked anyway. It just gives me more articulation on the front. I gained about 40-50mm of actual wheel down travel.
There are some pics floating around somewhere (i think NJV6 posted some when he did his) but you will have to search.
