Ok, should be putting in the GQ diffs soon and wanted peoples thoughts on which radius arms I should use.

I am leaning towards the rangie ones but what do other people think?

Rangie arms.

Mounting points at the diff are closer together = more potential for flex with similar size bushes

Holey bushes available = better flex

slightly longer than GQ = better flex

cheaper from the wrecker than gq arms

use late rangie arms so you get the wider bushes and the better material.

rangie arms are 'softer' tha gq arms so if you need to crank them youll be better off.

Anyone know what year the arms changed?

I won't be cranking them, I will get my 38's under with a 2" lift

I know my 89 had the later (better) arms and the other pair I have here are the older style and they apparently came of an 84model RR if it helps at all  :D

my fender is 93 and has the skinnier arms.
i would crank the arms to get the chassis mount higher and out of the way so you can have a slippery undercarriage
use sams bushes for the best flex.

I would almost go with the GQ arms. The bushes are much bigger and should allow more flex and we have got a set of slotted GQ bushes kicking around somewhere and if we pull our finger out we start selling them as well.

I'm not so much worried about flex, more strength. I want to not have to worry about it but I also have rangie arms here where as I would have to buy GQ ones and change the chassis mount.

Even though it will run the 38's for play time it is more for winch challenge outback challenge etc, hence why control arm front instead of 5 link. Also why it will only have a 2" lift.

Still tossing up tray back conv or maybe bobbed and tubbed as well. Ute would be kinda handy to have around.
