hey guys i recently purchased a gu patrol coil cab ute  tho i want more whistle out of the exhaust ....... it already has a 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust thats sounds great but you can only just hear the whistle (looks like a factory dump pipe) and i added a K and N filter in the factory box. its currently running 8 pound of boost also. i dont have a snorkle yet but that is on the shopping list for later...

ive been told to wind the boost up to bout 12 psi and have it dynoed and ive been told a snorkle will make it wistle like a bitch but i dont want to fork out money for these things if it isnt going to make a true TURBO DIESEL sound..... im really happy with the economy at the mo too.....

any help will be greatly appreciated :) cheers guys

First thing i'd do is fit a true 3 inch dump pipe in there , dieseltec on here does them and sends them out to where you are .

Also does it have mufflers or a hotdog ?

I have fitted one of these, I modded the dump slightly with a die ginder behind the swinggate. I reshaped the flange to allow the swinggate to open more. I also added a socket for the pyro.

To fit the exhaust to a ute the engine pipe needs to be modded to clear the safety loop from the cab to chassis on the LHS of the T case.

As you already have a 3" exhaust you can just get the dump though, it does make a big difference to exhaust temps, and seems to give better responce.

not all turbo diesels have a loud whistle through the exhaust.. I'd be more worried bout performance and use than a whistle.

I wasn't really after the 107dB type, but I'll trade you 4psi boost and a full 10L bucket of high octane LPG.

Is your whistle compatible with my double bypass hyclone setup?
