GM LS Gen IV..mehr Infos gibts nicht. Läuft mit MSD EFI, einige Tuningteile. Kein handgebauter traurig ...der kommt hoffentlich später. Mit MOTEC...
GM LS Gen IV..no more info about that. Engine runs with MSD EFI and some tuning parts. Hopefully i get a hand made motor later. With MOTEC...

I will be interested in how it goes. Presumably they will fit spotties before the event.

Actually he is Swiss - but the 100" is awesome. Will be interesting to see how it goes!
For a country that banned motorsport many years a go, there seem to be a lot of enthusiastc/competitors there.

looks very well built, but i reckonm the "lockless"rover would be just as competitve if not more so...
IMO these are now out and out race cars, so if they have the bucks (looks like a fair few have gone into this one) why not build it like a race car... move motor back for better weight, keep weight down as much as possible, use alloy suspension arms, long suspension arms tucked up out of the way..... etc etc
still a nice rig though

Very nice! Will be interesting to see how it goes...not many of the internationals running Landies have done well in the past. Does look like those tyres will be running foul of the guards, which look like Jeep flairs.

i guess it all depends on how much up travel he has.... he may have kept the rig as low as possible to handle well and just limited his up travel.. theres nothing wrong with that...

I was under the impression that outback challenge rigs had to be road registered. Now I dont want to open one of those tough truck debates on rego etc. But the vehicles more and more are moving from road registered to specially built race cars. I'm not sure how they can scrutinize this with spectators coming from overseas were road rules are pretty lax or non existant.
Is road rego still part of the race rquirements or is it now just the different classes with this sort of beast fitting in the extreme/modified/whatever class??

i do not know the rules.... but i believe they have to be road registered.
but that must be pretty loose definition, i know you can get things engineered, but, Qld for example, has very strict rules.... no way you'd get 35 + tyres legal....
they may go easier on the foreign entries... i notice he has used rose joints on his suspension links.... i thought they were not legal in any state...
anyway, my point is they may be "road registered" but they are race trucks now, im fine with that.... and i see some guys spend alot of money on them. i just wonder why they dont seem to spend time on some basic design points when they are spending $1000+ on shocks at each corner...
just my opinion, but i dont know half of what most of the racers are doing.

EU/Swiss regs are way tougher than any state in OZ. Notice it is not registered. e.g. ANY change in tyre size over stock needs to be approved.
I think the "road registered" bit in the OBC regs is just for insurance purposes. No vehicle in the OBC would be 100% road legal.

Wayne indicated in another outback thread that the truck is here.
It kinda puts the presentation on Mike's and Rohans trucks to shame.

See how it looks after it has done as much work as Rohan's let alone Mike's.

Seems to have all the gear, but takes a lot more than that to win these sorts of events. Will be interesting to see how they go. Good luck to them.

Looks like someone has driven past it and laid down automatic fire on it.
Also has what looks like as much rake as a POS 100 series
