Got a th400 today now for the transfer

Got a th400 for the buggy today now looking at transfer options.
I have a rebuilt 75 series split transfer at work but before I spend $1k + on an adaptor I would like a few questions answered.
would there be a better option?
I am trying to move the driveshaft over to clear the transmission and the starter motor on the LS2 as the motor sits below the front diff at full droop. At the moment measured from above the front transfer output matches the 80s front diff offset at 200mm (from diff centreline).
Would a nissan case have greater offset?
Rather keep the rear output to match the 80 s rear diff, but its not a big problem as I could buy a good gq diff for the cost of an 80 centre (that I don't have yet)
Any suggestions? Atlas any good for high speed? Would reduce the price if I don't need a 1k adaptor
at the moment I have a 75 h55 box and split transfer bolted up to the motor and It simply won't work (hence the th400 and different setup as I wanted auto anyway). The Castlemaine bellhousing sticks out beyond the starter and fowels the front shaft. I really want to keep this thing low and raising the motor a foot just fro starter motor clearence seem silly.
cheers bru

GQ case is offset about 235mm from memory. (EDIT - when clocked flat)
Do you have the space laterally to put the drivetrain in on a slight angle? That is the easiest way to pick up 100mm or so.

thanks mate. exactly the same as the 75.
I can put it in at an angle but would rather exhaust every other avenue first.
have motor, 2.5 coil and 2.5 bypass all in the one spot as well as steering.
could get tight.
looking at the atlas now

atleast with the GQ you have more gearin options.
the cruiser transfers are damn pricey when looking for reduction gears.
i run dual GQ transfers and 80 diffs no problems with alignment. and a TH400 box.

valid points. The gearing will remain standard as low range is just for playing or getting unstuck when I swap ends
The gq will win if this atlas gets too hard or $$$.
The more I read about the atlas the more I want one
From memory the gq transfer is in sections and unbolts cleanly from the gearbox - unlike the 75 where the case shares the gearbox shaft.
I like the Idea of the ease of swaping should I break a case in a comp.
I want to race Baja in this rig (5 year goal) so It needs to be strong and the gq would have to be stronger then a 75?!?!?!.

nothing is out of the question. can you get a th400 to case adaptor?
I know nothing about the lt230 apart from the AWD capability.

it is a gear type
high range can be 1-1, 1.2-1 ,1.41-1, 1.66-1
low range is 3.32-1 but there are aftermarket 30% and 49% reduction gearsets
output is on the right side front and rear
they are fairly strong, about the only strong thing rover made....

75 will be stronger, gq is also still good, but where are you going to get spares in the USA @ baja?? A gq is way weaker than a np208 and the US guys bag the $hit out of them! (yes i have a np208 and a gq) at least a 208 has 1350 ujoint yokes and the input shafts are HUGE 35splines they are planetry reduction and fairly effecient, and will bolt straight to you T400. 75's are commonly available and parts are plently they draw very little HP for there size. If you do go GQ, I have a twin stick setup i have developed which might come in handy
