Fix it or leave it? Dented diff

Hey all, a little while ago i managed to put a nice big dent in my front diff housing.
I have been wheelin' a few times since it dented, with no probs. Its not touching crown wheel or anything.
I plan on making a bash plate for the diff, but not sure wether i should try and knock it out a bit from the inside or not.
Will i get any further problems if i just leave the dent there?
Heres a pic:
Thanks

Apart from a slightly reduced oil capacity it won't cause any dramas as long as it's not touching the crownwheel.

The housing is very thin and will knock out easily if you choose

Or you could get the cap off a Telstra pillar and cut it in half

Nah pic makes it look bent.
And filler plug is courtesy of previous owner. The idea is ok, but it hasn't been done very neatly. I couldnt remove the rear filler, so i done the same thing just a little nicer!
And for anyone interested, lowrange emailed me back a shipping quote on the diff caps. $45. I'm guessing they would have quoted US$. Here is the reply:
"I would be $45 in shipping.

Or you could always weld up a bull nose on the end. It will make you pumpkin abit stronger and reinforce the thin shell.

I'm not a huge fan of that. It's better than nothing, but mine's got hits above and to the side of that area.
Additionally, all the steel and weld around it will make for a brittle area likely to tear if it does take a hit to the side of the solid section.
Like I said, I'm not saying it doesn't help, only that it's not optimal in my book.
