g'day guys ive done a bit of reading through the bible and havent really found anything to point me in the right direction.
I have just purchased an 85 single cab hilux with v6 commy motor and 5 spd. the car will be cut down into a buggy of sorts and im just wondering if i can swap the later model 4runner coil diff over and make it flex.
by all reports they do not flex well and id be better of going custom 3/4 link ect...
however ? I can weld and undertake most major mechs myself and the ease of just being able to cut it of and weld it back on will simplify it for me.
my plan was to do this then modify for flex once i have the basics in place. I have heard of ppl using the prado rear end ? seems easier than paying $$$$$$$$ for a pre fab conversion.
can use chuck me some ideas

well ive got a 4 runner arse end in my lux and it flex's all i did was extend uppers and lower controll arms by atleast 2x the length only problem is no enough weight to make suspension push down so maybe a big tyres n real soft shockies?

I think a prado setup would be better again due to the longer arms all round, but the 4runner stuff still does well.

Couple pics of my setup. Was pretty much standard except for beefed up upper arms (20mm longer), std. height progressive 80 series coils by Dobinsons, and the longest shocks I could fit.
