What oil pressure do your 6G72's run at when operating temp and idling? I think mine is a bit low :(

mine sits at 2kg per cubic cm

Mine once hot runs at about 1kg/cm3. Gonna try a heavier weight oil next change to see if it brings the pressure up a bit. Low oil pressure would contribute a bit to the typical V6 lash adjuster tick right?

I wouldn't be relying on the internal gauge too much. After my last trip out with lots of mud mine was reading at 6 kg/cm2 and would go higher with revs. It settled back down to normal (2 kg per cm squared at idle) after a few days and then went the other way the other day and was reading almost zero at idle and would come up with revs. I changed the oil to a Pennzoil 20w50 as it was due and i was doing the timing belt and seals anyway. The gauge is still reading lower than normal.
If you are concerned about the oil pressure then remove the sender (near the filter) and test it with a proper oil pressure gauge. This will give you a true indication of pressure. Most mechanics will have a descent gauge to test this with. I've been meaning to do mine just to be on the safe side because of the gauge variation.
If the top end is a bit noisy / rattling then i would get it checked straight away as there may be a pickup problem.

yeah, the gauge is reading right unfortunately, i think the relief valve must be stuck open or the spring broken, will check it out tomorrow.
