WT/NT diff centres interchangeable?

as topic, i did a search but i think there may be a difference in terminology that prevents me from getting the results i am looking for.
it would be good if somebody could let me know if narrow track diff centres will fit into wide track housings, and hopefully if the driveshaft flange is also interchangeable? (to put WT flange on to retain standard shaft)
thanks,
adam

1.3ltr WT/NT should interchange and as long as you dong have muriti centers they are interchangable

yes and no.
do u have the NT shaft?
The WTs will fit where the NTs are fine but the WT flanges are 10mm bolts and wider than the NT flange that also has 8mm bolts.
If u have the NT end then u can either swap the flanges over to the WT ones or do 1/2 and 1/2 shaft.
not sure if there are any strength differences running either flange (same uni i beleive).

I run NT centres in my WT housings. I fitted the WT pinion flanges to the NT centres and bolted them straight in.

i have a complete 1L driveline here to pilfer parts from. i cant use the transfer so i was hoping i could run the higher ratio diffs. i have all the flanges and shafts to assemble it but i would rather use the WT ones as they seem to be a lot stronger!
ive read of people having used the NT axles with reduction gears and had years of ongoing success but honestly im not too sure as i tend to be a little bit hard on things haha.
thanks guys

1LTR stuff, this is where i can help, they wont fit, the housings are smaller and the 1.3ltr axles are bigger so you dont have a chance! not sure if the R&P are interchangable tho.

One litre centres are no go in WT housings..
There is no strength difference between NT and WT axles/cv's.

hmm, swapping the ring and pinion was my plan B, i might give it a go while i have the car in bits with the rear axles out.

so you have 1.3L NT centres? hmm
i actually meant to type "ive read of people having used the NT

just check if the R&P are the same size, if they are dont put 1ltr in put LJ50's in there a 4.88:1 where as 1ltrs are anywhere from 3.9:1 4.11:1 and i have seen some where a 4.55:1 but i think that was a custom!

ah right , i got the lot as part of a deal so if its not going to work out to my advantage i will just sell the lot off to be honest *shrug* . my 1.3 case needs rebuilding which is what kind of prompted the swap. i may just rebuild the 1.3 case with gearing

the 1ltr case will bolt in, just change the flanges and it will give you slightly lower gearing in the 1.3ltr,
is your front diff drum or disk on the 1ltr diffs?

the 1L diffs are drums all round.
i tried to change the flange on the transfer input to the 1.3 but its different.
im not able to just swap out to the 1L jackshaft i have a custom one for my 4A conversion that goes from 22 spline T50 to 1.3L t/case

my 96 1 ltr is disk front standard, with 4.1 ratio wide track diffs

1.0 CV's are smaller than 1.3.
I ran 1.3 NT CV's in my 1.0 diffs and if you put them side by side you'd run the 1.3 NT every time.

What did you have to do to run the 1.3 cv's in a 1.0 diff ?
Thanks

Nothing - they are a straight swap.
I am talking about the whole CV and inner axle though as a unit.
