put standard rears in the front with 2" lifted rears in rear, on the old 4runner we had to run 2" ext shackles in the rear to level it out

There are a few choices in springs you can run depends on the amount of work you want to do.

You can keep the stock rear springs in the rear, you could run some mazda 808 rears which are a bit longer, mazda 323 rears are longer again, daihatsu feroza springs not sure on length, pretty much any 50mm wide spring pack.

You might have to move spring perches make longer shackles, all of that stuff to make the springs work properly. Also they are all different spring rates so finding one to fit and can carry your load and have the ride height you want will probably get you mixing a few different spring packs.

it's an inexact science, trial and error is your friend.

Otherwise spring manufacturers will make you a custom main springs, you can pay anything up to $200 for these.

You can buy a YJ jeep conversion kit from the states and buy some new OME YJ springs... heaps of options.

If you want it on the cheap head down to the wreckers with a tape measure and go nuts.

I run OME 2in HD in the front and regular OME 2in springs in the back. Sits level front to back. I have no extra weight on the front either. No winch etc.

I run shortish shackles with my halfRUF so the fronts probably sit at 45 degrees compared to the rears which are closer to vertical. I would imagine this is why it's level. If the shackle angle was the same, the front would sit taller.

3 inch Trail gear rears would work and are about the longest eye to eye for off the shelf springs. Dont have huge flex but will be an easy option.

You'll struggle to get much more than stock flex out of the rear - the shackle location and the amount of static arch required for 3" of lift (about what you'll need to match the front 2" RUF mean you'll struggle to get to the bumpstops on compression or pull much droop out of it.

we tend to pull leaves out of the front lo take lift out to match the rear.

I used standard rears for the front and a pair of what i think are Datsun 120Y(the small ute) rears in the back. They are much longer than the standard rears and i had to make up an adapter to use them on the back of my zook. I found they flexed alittle bit better but the ride seemed to be much softer than stock which has seemed to be the greatest benefit.
I also had to pull a leaf out of the Datsun spring pack to keep the back at the same height as the front as the extra leaf made it sit about 2 inches higher.

3 leaf trail gear packs would be good. I still run 4 leaves in my calmini rears (3inch there abouts) Cause I carry loads and they still flex well with 4 leaves.
