Exhaust extractors for 2H diesel engine

Post by twr7cx »

I'm looking for a set of extractors to suit the 2H diesel in my FJ45. Now I was looking at a Lukey/Walker catalogue today, and they offer 2 different styles, the LPH502P and LPH503P. The difference is that 1 set is longer than the other, and as a result, 1 goes inside the chasis, and the other goes outside the chasis.
Does anyone have any experience with either and able to recommend 1 style over the other?
I would have thought the longer set should be better for low down torque.

No.
40 and 60 series 2H extractors will be different.
4# Series have the extractors going down the outside of the chassis rail.
60 Series have the extractors going down the inside.
This could be around the wrong way.

According to the catalogue they both suit the HJ47 which is a 40 series with 2H engine.

If you check out this ebay link ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 3DWatching ) - those are inside chasis ones, they'll definitely fit my 40. Seller says they fit HJ60 and HJ75 as well as HJ47. These are pretty much the same as the Lukey LPH502P.
But I'm drawn to the LPH503P as I reckon they'll make more down low torque with the longer pipes.
