Can some one please put a step by step for the front springs

Just went through this myself.

1. Jack car up, get some big ass chassis stands or mount them on some bricks - this is because the longer springs will require the car to be higher/diff to be lower.

2. With the diff supported by either stands or a jack (i used a big trolley jack), remove the ubolts.

3. Once ubolts are removed, lower the diff until the weight is off the springs, keep in mind the length of your brake hoses.

4. Undo the rear shackle nuts, the front anchor pin nut, and the two little bolts on the front anchor pin. With no weight on them, the leaf's should slide out easily.

Installation is the reverse, taking care not to move the diff too much. The bolts in the middle of the leaves should line up with the diff and bumpstops. Use a bit of dishwashing liquid, grease etc to help making the shackles and anchor pin slide in easy.

Oh, and having a second person give you a hand will make it a whole lot easier. I didnt have this and it was a c*nt. Also, the tighter the better when you do it back up, and then re-tighten after you've taken it for a drive etc.

Rattle gun for 30mins maybe
Check a manual or ring a suspension shop for torque settings if you don't want to stuff your u-bolts.
If you don't have a torque wrench buy one, cause by the next time you change them it will have paid for itself in not paying the labour of a shop to fit them for you
Make sure you have good poly bushes and the correct grease for them also

i would steer clear of bricks. under extreme loading they can break, maybe some hardwood or something similar. but bricks and bessa blocks can crack and break. just a suggestion

I put the stands on some rims. Not the best choice, but it was what I had handy.

Yeah F bricks right off And if it hasn't been said re check the u bolts about a week after then every now and again check them

thanks for the backing up the bricks sic lux, and yeh after about 500 kilometers check them dont they say.

I use four stands 2 truck size and two car size just for extra safety.

Can you leave the tyres on and just jack up the chassis once the ubolts are undone, thats how we do the rear leaves.

yeah wheels on probably the easiest way to line the centre bolts up

I just bought a full 2 inch efs kit minus shocks yesterday, new pins shackles ubolts and bushs, cant wait to get it in on the weekend if my mates are willing.

I did mine wheels off. Less hassle if things go wrong/Less weight to move around if I need to re-align shit. Also means you can work from the side, rather than getting underneathe.
