Where to fit CB's in a soft top 40

When my 40 had a top i had my uhf and CB mounted on a overhead console but now it's topless any ideas on a cool spot I can fit them also security is obviously a problem.

I will be interested to see what everyone says, i have been thinking about this myself...
i was thinking glove box, or perhaps between the seats but then water is an issue??

Yeah I just went away for a couple of days and put the uhf in the glove box and being a locksmith it does have a lock on it. But it is only usefull in an emergency....................Cheers Dazz

in my zoook i took out the ash tray and my cb
went in there verry nicely

Mate of mine has it mounted under his dash near the heater box unit. Thats probably why its full of mud...

i have mine just sitting on the dash when i go out wheeling, and when i get back i just take it off the mounting bracket and take it inside.
uhf mounts..

i am looking at fitting a portable one with a mount kit using the fixed twig when in the car, but can come with me when i walk around in the bush (which i do a lot) the power output is still a legal 5 watts and i can use a VOX kit when driving so its "hands free"..
well, thats the idea anyway...
