Which GQ engine to choose from?

I've sold my ute and trying to find a GQ LWB Patrol.
I wanted to find a Turbo Diesel 4.2L (very hard to find), then was looking at the 2.8L Turbo Diesels, looked at some of the 4.2 Dual Fuel and have found a couple of the 3.0L Dual Fuel....
I used to have a 4.2L Dual Fuel shorty which I was pretty happy with but really dont know which way to go next....
Can anyone advise me on which are good and which motors to stay away from? And what the power and economy etc are like from the motors, I know that my old shorty would get 320km to 110L LPG with the 35's on it.
Thanks,
Maciek

hi man
get an injected 4.2 petrol on DUAL FUEL
best bang for buck and best on the $$$ economy wise.

IMO stay away from the 2.8 Turbo diesel. It wouldn't pull ya aunty off ya uncle.
As stated above go the 4.2 f/injected on duel fuel.

Not shit just slow. There have been a few turbo kits for sale lately. I may have a safari intercooled kit for sale soon.

Ive had an sd33, td42, 308 hilux, and now a td42 with an aftermarket turbo. I couldn't recomend the aftermarket turbo enough, it's leaves the rest for dead across a wide range of things (308 was fun in the mud tho), low K's she's a real keeper.
Had a drive of other club members cars, the tb42 carby makes average power I guess for a 2.7T vehicle, but shit torque at the very bottom of the range compared to the diesel.
Search carpoint, tradingpost and on the classified here, might take awhile, but over a few months Im sure you'll find a GQ LWB td42 with aftermarket turbo, I saw heaps over a space of 3 months when I bought my one.
